Sonya Renee Meeker, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away
Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the age of 43. She was born to Betty
(Blackwell) Long, January 20, 1967 in Muskogee OK.

Sonya enjoyed fishing, photography, music, and genealogy research. She
loved her kids and her grandkids. She always put the needs of others
before those of her own.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Tom and son, T. R.
Meeker of the home; daughters & sons-in-law, Ashley & Terry Scott and Heather & Devon Newbury, all of Muskogee; grandchildren, Ian, Ava, and Mia Scott; Sayre & Havyn Newbury; her mother, Betty Long of Braggs; sisters & brothers-in-law, Jamy & Charles Caple of Bryant AR and Mary & Woody Root of Haskell OK, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loved ones, and many friends.

Sonya was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alva & Margaret
Blackwell, her niece, Elizabeth Manley, Lee Hammer, Sherman Long, and
Jimmy Smith.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m., Sunday, July 18 at
the Bradley Belltower Chapel. Family and friends will gather to celebrate
the life of Sonya Renee Meeker Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Bradley
Belltower Chapel with Reverend Kirby Caple officiating. Interment will be
held at 12:00 noon in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Tim Meeker,
Charles Caple, Bill Meeker, Terry Scott, Toby Meeker, and Devon Newbury
will serve as pallbearers.
